Bistro Vistas Portimao is part of the Vista Hotel, and the Michelin-starred Vista Restaurant. The bistro is open for lunch and dinner.

This place is like paradise on earth.

This old estate is beautifully located on Praia da Rocha. You enter through a gate, which is opened through the intercom. Through the beautifully landscaped garden you enter the hotel and through the pool area you enter the Bistro. Here you have lovely lounge sofas and dining tables. And a view of the entire beach and ocean!

A fantastic place to have a cocktail, lunch or dinner. Unlike the Michelin star restaurant, the Bistro is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner. Reservations are required.

Main courses between 21 (vegan) and 45 euros (shrimp).

I start with a delicious glass of white Douro. My daughter Esmee takes a delicious mocktail of pineapple and mint.

This is followed by a beautiful cover with delicious fresh baguette, olive oil, cucumber with sesame seeds and a delicious Pesto of basil and cashew nuts.

As starters we have the gazpacho of cucumber and avocado, and the humus plate with carrot.

As main courses we have the fresh pasta, and the paella. All made from organic vegetables, our lovely waitress Nathalie (from Moldova) explains to us.

For dessert, we share a delicious mango dessert.

The food is simpler (and cheaper) than at the Michelin star restaurant, but the place is just as unique! Recommended!
