New Restaurant: Allgarbe. This hip restaurant is located in the centre of Portimao, near the car park, so parking is no problem!

In the basement, you'll find a stylish private dining room and the hip wine cellar.

The listed building has been beautifully converted, it's a nice mix of historic and modern. The walls are white and there are the distinctive Portuguese white and blue tile tableaux everywhere. The wine coolers are gorgeous!

It has an open kitchen, so you can see the chefs at work. There is also a large bread oven for baking bread.

The menu includes mostly fish dishes, but also meat dishes and 4 vegan starters and main courses. Unfortunately, there are no vegan desserts on the menu.

Main course prices range from 11.50 - 29.50 euros.

I start with a delicious tomato soup, and then I have the aubergine steak, with jacket potatoes and a Portuguese salad. Delicious!

The staff are very attentive and friendly. The young sommelier enthusiastically talks about the fine wines, which are in the wine cabinet from north to south Portugal.

AllGarbe is open from 11:30-23:00. Sundays it is closed.
