We had the pleasure of visiting United India, a hidden gem tucked away in the beautiful Vale do Lobo area, near Bamboo, Almancil. This authentic Indian restaurant left me utterly impressed with its delectable dishes and charming ambiance. From the moment we stepped onto the inviting terrace, I knew we were in for a treat.

The lunch menu, priced at only 25 euros per person, was an unbeatable deal.

You get an amuze, a starter, a big plate with 6 amazing dishes and an dessert. It's rare to find such quality at such an affordable price.

They also offer a more simple lunchmenu for only 15 euro per person.

The authenticity of the food was evident from the very first bite. In fact, the restaurant is so genuine that even Indians themselves choose to dine here, as the flavors take them back to their homeland.

One of the things that sets United India apart is its extensive menu, featuring dishes from all regions of India. With 1.4 billion inhabitants, India's culinary diversity is unparalleled, and this restaurant proudly embraces that richness. The owner and Master Chef, Narayon, had initially planned to become a monk, but his passion for food led him down a different path. And we are incredibly grateful for that decision because his expertise in the kitchen is extraordinary. He wholeheartedly believes in the importance of mindful eating, catering to individual needs, and even aligning one's diet with their zodiac sign. It's clear that his dedication to his craft shines through in every dish.

The food was nothing short of delightful. The flavors were unlike those found in more touristy Indian restaurants. Each bite was a burst of authentic Indian taste, leaving us craving for more. The variety of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options further added to the restaurant's appeal, making it a welcoming spot for everyone.

The service was impeccable, and the warmth and politeness of the owner and the young lady attending to us made our dining experience even more enjoyable. They were eager to answer questions about the dishes and offer recommendations, making us feel right at home.
