Chef's Kitchen is a large restaurant, with 2 entrances. On one street you see a small cozy restaurant, on the other side you see that it is no less than 3 layers. You can sit inside or on one of the balconies.

The service here is friendly, trained and smooth. Maybe too fast.

Everything in the restaurant is well and efficiently organized. This immediately suggests that the owner is not Portuguese. haha The owner/chef appears to be Harald Kruizinga (52), from Groningen, the Netherlands. He says that he has been living in the Algarve for 24 years. First employed as a chef for 6 years, and started his own business 18 years ago. Everything served is homemade, and you can taste it. The kitchen is half open so you can see the chefs at work.

We start with a delicious couvert (4 euros), one of the nicest I've had here. In addition to olive oil, 2 delicious types of hummus are also served. And gluten-free bread is no problem! Top.

We also drink a delicious Portuguese Chardonnay (27 euros)

Because there are no vegan starters on the menu, we skip those.

The main courses cost between 19.95 and 24.95

I take the wrap with vegetables, tofu and tomato sauce. Homemade and delicious!

Marlot and Elyas take the homemade vegan burger, with vegetables, avocado and polenta. Delicious!!

We had a delicious meal, but everything goes so fast that we are outside again in just over an hour.

The whole atmosphere is a bit hectic, clearly aimed at achieving as much turnover as possible per evening. I recommend this restaurant for a quick bite to eat, and for families and groups. Then it's great. Open from 17.30 houres.
