Almancil


Almancil is located on the N125, between the beautiful historic towns of Faro (airport) and Loule .

It has a world famous church, the São Lourenço church, and in the original village are many nice little restaurants.

The 8 golf courses in Almancil attract wealthy guests from all over the world.

Almancil has beautiful beaches all along the coast. There are various (luxury) beach clubs on or on the beach. There are also a number of luxury restaurants in the Ria Formosa park, which can be reached via wooden walkways.

Luxury is in Almancil Apolonia supermarket, with products from all over the world world . And wines of 800 euros or more per bottle..

Just outside the village you will find the Designer outlet center , with no fewer than 70 well-known brands , the Ikea and Mar shopping , the largest shopping mall in the Algarve, with more than 100 shops and restaurants.

Tourism A major tourist attraction is the Church of São Lourenço de Matos . In addition, the Estádio Algarve can be visited. The European Football Championship was held in this stadium in 2004 . Between the original village and the Atlantic Ocean, there are 2 relatively new neighborhoods, Quinta do Lago (next to Faro Airport) and Vale do Lobo (next to Quateira ), which are connected by Av. Alm. Mendes Cabecadas .

Quinta do Lago

Quinta do Lago is a remote neighborhood/village that was developed in 1970. It is a mix of very luxurious villas (between 4-20 million) with large gardens (2500 m2) and 5 golf courses. The neighborhood is self-sufficient with its own shops, restaurants, etc. Quinta shopping mall has luxury shops and several pubs. In terms of hotels you will find all well-known brands such as Hilton Conrad , Wyndham and Four Season Hotels .

Vale do Lobo

Vale do Lobo is older and smaller than Quinta do Lago. It was founded in 1960 and has 1500 houses and 2 golf courses. Apartments cost 500,000 euros, semi-detached houses 1 million and detached houses 2.5-10 million.

Golden triangle

Here you will find everything you need. Beach, nature, golf courses, luxury hotels and topclass restaurants, etc.

It is the most expensive area of the Algarve, whether it is to live or to go on holiday. Almancil, Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo together form the so-called Golden Triangle.

 

 

History

Loulé is one of the nicest towns in the Algarve that you should definitely visit. Loulé is a traditional Portuguese market town and one of the most popular day trip destinations in central Algarve. The bold and characterful historic center, the lively market and the traditional Portuguese atmosphere attract visitors year after year and keep the City alive. when visiting the Algarve, a trip to the Loulé market should not be missing from the to -do list.
