The Igreja de São Lourenço church in Almancil was built in the Baroque style in the first half of the 18th century.

The decoration inside is a good example of Portuguese tile art.

The walls are completely covered with blue and white tiles, representing historical scenes from the life of São Lourenço.

The main altar is of gilded carvings. Tourists from all over the world come to admire the church.
