The enchanting Algarve truly reveals itself from the ocean. An area that I had never looked at from the water due to a traumatic childhood memory. However, with the arrival of a good friend from the Netherlands, my wife finally got me on board.

The new harbor of Albufeira was our starting point, surrounded by a modern boulevard with shops and restaurants. We began our journey eastward on a speedboat, along the coastline of the Algarve. The breathtaking rock formations of the Benagil caves came into view, a majestic sight from the ocean.

During the tour, we discovered the iconic landscapes and world-famous beaches and coves of the Algarve.

The speedboat raced at 40 km per hour, which in itself was an adventure. We explored the Benagil caves and enjoyed the crystal-clear waters of the coast.

On the way back, we were treated to a magical encounter with dolphins, gracefully leaping through the water. An unforgettable moment that completed the beauty of the Algarve.

The tour made me realize how unique and beautiful the small coves and beaches of the Algarve are, hidden from view from the land. It also struck me how huge Pera seemed from the ocean, a realization that never occurred to me when I was there by car.

Ultimately, my fear of sailing on the ocean proved unfounded. The beauty of the Algarve and the company of good friends made it an unforgettable journey. A trip that taught me that sometimes our biggest fears prevent us from discovering the most enchanting places. It was a lesson in overcoming my own limits and opening up to new adventures.
