Restaurante Sal & Fogo, a newcomer in Vilamoura, left a lasting impression on us with its exquisite decor and pleasant ambiance.

Situated just outside the bustling Vilamoura harbour, this classic restaurant offers a high-end experience.

Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff, who provided excellent service throughout the evening. What stood out was the speed at which our food arrived, which was a refreshing change compared to some other restaurants. The service was attentive and friendly, and the staff displayed an impressive knowledge of cooking, recipes, and ingredients.

The interior of Sal & Fogo combines classic and modern elements, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. Although the tables are somewhat close together, it did not detract from our experience. The large terrace at the front is a plus, especially on warm evenings.

Where we found a slight drawback was in Sal & Fogo's menu. While the dishes are of high quality, the menu consists mainly of meat dishes, with only a few fish and vegan options. This might disappoint those who prefer fish or follow a vegan diet. The name "Salt & Fire" refers to their frequent use of grilling techniques.

The owner also has three other restaurants in Vilamoura, attesting to his culinary expertise in the region. Bonus point: they have their own parking lot for the convenience of guests.
