Club Nau is a trendy beach bar on Praia Grande
Club Nau has a beautiful location, by the sea, overlooking the opposite port of Portimao. You can also get here by water taxi from Portimao.
Club Nau has a nice hip atmosphere and delicious food with a lot of vegan options
The staff is hospitable, the guests are often young people, the atmosphere is hip and romantic, you can dream away the sea breeze, delicious food and a lot of vegan options.
Club Nau has 2 nice menus. In addition to the regular menu, a Japanese menu with eg (vegan) sushi. Super tasty and varied. Gluten-free is also no problem.
Mains cost between 14 -28 euros.
Besides the main restaurant, there are several nice corners to sit. And nice relaxing music. And that view!! Sand, beach, palm trees and the sea..
We had a delicious meal! And host Ricardo took good care of us!!
We start with wine, and the most delicious edamama I've ever had. Then the table was completely full of delicious vegan food, such as the vegan sushi bowl, miso soup, vegetable soup, Greek salad with vegan feta (yum!), vegan poke bowl, vegan burger, fries, potatoes, mixed salad, rice and wakame salad . All equally delicious!
Recommended! If I lived closer I would go every week.. Enjoy the quiet beach life and the delicious fresh food of Club Nou!
Negatives: the wooden benches are very hard. And parking must be 400 meters from the restaurant. So it might be a good idea to take the (water) taxi from Portimao.

Mon mari et moi y sommes allés hier pour déjeuner et avons été très très déçus par :
1.les plats qui coûtent excessivement cher par rapport à la qualité des plats et les quantités minimalistes servies
2. Les plats qui ne contiennent pas tous les ingrédients indiqués dans le menu
3. Le pain soit-disant « maison » ressemblait plus à un pain industriel de quelques jours qu’à un pain fait maison
4. La sauce « aïoli » goûtait le sel et le poivre et n’avait par contre ni le goût ni l’odeur d’ail. C’était franchement mauvais. Bref, nous avons été très déçus et avons eu la très désagréable impression d’être piégés.
Nous avons fait part de toutes nos observations négatives au serveur qui s’est montré compréhensif et a tenté de se rattraper en nous offrant le dessert qui était juste moyen.
En résumé, c’est, selon nous, un endroit très branché, très cher mais j’avoue que la décoration est jolie et le service était gentil et commercial. Nous avons ensuite été à Portimão au restaurant No solo Água qui est aussi un restaurant branché avec piscine et un menu avec des plats « fusion »(poke bowls, sushis etc..). Tout y était excellent, en quantité correcte et servi avec beaucoup de gentillesse. Les prix étaient corrects vu le cadre assez exceptionnel. La piscine et l’endroit sont splendides. Bref, depuis 5 ans que nous sommes en Algarve, le Edd’s Beach est l’unique restaurant dont nous ayons été si déçus et que nous ne conseillerons jamais à personne.
