Fine dining restaurant Al Quimia, is a hidden gem that is high on the Michelin list.  It is situated in Albufeira/Olhos de Agua, in the garden of the luxury Epic Sana hotel *****.

It is one of the most beautiful (design) restaurants in the Algarve. The atmosphere is a fantastic mix of Balinese, chic and romantic.

The restaurant is half open, like being in Bali. Everything is correct. The crockery is also beautiful! And the garden you look out on is beautiful, with illuminated old pines. There are about 14 tables, including the chef's table, where you have a direct view of the kitchen.

You can choose from 3 tasting menus of 90, 115 or 135 euros.

Besides the regular options, the offer vegetarian and vegan menu's.

Chef Luis Mourão uses local and fresh ingredients to create the most delicious Portuguese and Mediterranean dishes. The dishes look like beautiful paintings! The kitchen is open, so you can see how much passion the 7 chefs work with.

Patissier Tiago Nunes provides the most delicious desserts.

There is an extensive wine list from sommelier Hugo Ribeiromet, with many wines from small wineries, he says proudly. The prices of the wines are lower than most other luxury restaurants.

The service is very friendly and professional. Everything runs smoothly thanks to Nicole & Vanessa and their team (7 people).

I expect this restaurant to get a star soon. Until then, take advantage of the relatively low price! Highly recommended!!

The hotel has 240 rooms, luxury spa, and 3 restaurants, Al Quimia, and Uddo (Japanese) and Lima (Italian). It is located in a large park garden with pines, near Praia da Falésia, with 6 km of beach and beautiful cliffs.

You can park for free. The entrance to Al Quimia is somewhat hidden in the complex, so we entered through the garden.. haha
