Mato a Vista is a lovely family-run, rural restaurant located north of Albufeira, between Krazy World and Donkey tours. It is one of the better restaurants in Albufeira. Mato a Vista has its own car park.

Wonderful family business with very friendly service!

Mato a Vista has a nice menu with lots of variety, meat, fish and 2 vegan options. We enjoyed sitting outside on the terrace, which offers a very relaxed atmosphere. Both inside and outside it is neat and cosy.

Main courses from 16 euros.

We start with a delicious white wine, from Quinta de Carvalhicos Reserva.

Then we are offered a very extensive couvert, but we turn it down, otherwise it becomes a bit much for just a lunch....

Marlot starts with a beautiful colourful salad. I take the pan fried green beans, which taste fantastic! Highly recommended!

For the main course, my wife has the vegetable stew and I have the fried vegetables with rice. My vegetables were delicious, but next time I would really go for the stew. Delicious!

Apart from the restaurant, they also have a beautiful wine shop with a huge range of fine wines. A wonderful concept!

Mato a Vista comes highly recommended! It is atmospheric restaurant, with fantastic food and the staff are super friendly.
